See the Keira Knightley perfume ad judged inappropriate for children
Why are parents turning up their noses?
Want to see the Keira Knightley-starring Chanel ad that Britain's TV-powers-that-be have deemed too "suggestive" to run anywhere near kiddie programming? Of course you do. The commercial, set to "It's a Man's World," ran during a daytime showing of "Ice Age 2," which doesn't really seem like the right target audience for a high-end fragrance. Anyhoo, if we're reading the ad's subtext correctly (and we think we are), a spritz of Coco Mademoiselle perfume will turn ladies into a bad-ass, sexually liberated lovelies who are able to seduce pretty male photographers in sensual European locales. Not surprisingly, the content caused at least one concerned parent to complain, and the Advertising Standards Authority agreed. Chanel, for its part, has defended the ad as "playful and sensual."
