See the Keira Knightley perfume ad judged inappropriate for children

Why are parents turning up their noses?

Want to see the Keira Knightley-starring Chanel ad that Britain's TV-powers-that-be have deemed too "suggestive" to run anywhere near kiddie programming? Of course you do. The commercial, set to "It's a Man's World," ran during a daytime showing of "Ice Age 2," which doesn't really seem like the right target audience for a high-end fragrance. Anyhoo, if we're reading the ad's subtext correctly (and we think we are), a spritz of Coco Mademoiselle perfume will turn ladies into a bad-ass, sexually liberated lovelies who are able to seduce pretty male photographers in sensual European locales. Not surprisingly, the content caused at least one concerned parent to complain, and the Advertising Standards Authority agreed. Chanel, for its part, has defended the ad as "playful and sensual."

I think the inappropriate part here is that the commercial is over 3 minutes long...

I thought this commercial was not near as bad as some of the Hardees's commercials I have seen, I last she is classy and clothed...those women they put in other ads are just trashy, this is a Chanel ad, i thought it was fine, kids see way worse on nick at night, some people need to get a reality check.

I adored it! I think it was sensual and hot without being sleazy. Keira looked sexy as hell and that photographer...yum!

"Too suggestive" for the audience of daytime showing o Ice Age 2, probably.  Lousy commercial, Most definitely.  Too long and lost the products message.  I could have gotten two beers and pretzels in the time this commercial ran.  Poor marketing.

HA! I've only seen the short 30 second version of this commercial and I always thought she was Natalie Portman. Anyway, this commercial has been running for months, why is it a problem now? Besides that, anyone who has been to Britain has probably seen their commercials and billboards, those are far more "suggestive" than this commercial lol.

They were never going to show the full length of that on any television channel anyway. It would cost a fortune. I'm sure they are loving the controversey because, at least now, people are seeing it.

taking back the power, I love the message and think it is artfully done. No wait, there wasn't enough blood and mutation to make it interesting enough for todays young button pushers. Truthfully, my 5 year old granddaughter would think it not worth watching and would ask for spongebob; however, I was glued to it, a woman's fantasy. Really gives a whole new meaning to making love to the camera. Beautiful!

I think this video is extremely sensuous but not at all tacky or sleazy.  It is  tastefully done and should definitely increase sales for Chanel.  I think it shows great wit, charm, and artistic flair and is seductive without showing any more private details than you could see in many commercials.
I love this unusual, provocative, & captivating video.

There are too many sexually charged commercials as it is. There is a time and place for ADULT commercials and that is NOT during a child's program! Yes I've seen worse commercials. But does sex have to sell everything?!

I'd like her a little better without all that Botox in her upper lip.She doesn't need that to be beautiful and it detracts.

Inappropriate for an Ice Age 2 audience.  Too long for everyone else.  Besides the nip slip at 2:19 it's very boring...

Great Spot!  Perfect for editing into small commericals and still hold its appeal.  The song is right but, Man's world ended about 15 years ago.  The only thing still a man's role is taking out the garbadge.
