Could Daniel Craig be written out of 'Dragon' sequel?
Money reportedly at issue
Has Daniel Craig priced himself out of the sequel to "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo"? The Hollywood Reporter suspects he may be the reason Sony is dragging its feet on "The Girl Who Played With Fire." The actor inked a deal to reprise his role as journalist Mikael Blomkvist in two more films, but he supposedly wants a pay raise due to the billion-dollar box office of "Skyfall." Problem is, "Dragon Tattoo" didn't make as much moolah as anticipated (about $100 million domestically), so Sony wants to cut the budget and is reluctant to bump his paycheck, according to the Reporter. One scenario: Craig could be written out of "Fire" altogether since the story mainly focuses on Rooney Mara's hacker character, Lisbeth Salander. But fear not: A Craig insider insists no negotiations have taken place, and he wants to reprise his role.
