Gun enthusiast Ted Nugent blasts Piers Morgan: 'Leave us the hell alone!'
Weapons-grade ranting ahead ...
For some reason, Ted Nugent continues to be given a public forum, despite his whole "gun owners are like Rosa Parks" pontificating and his "moral decay of society" argument in the wake of the Sandy Hook massacre. On Monday night, the onetime rocker appeared as a guest of CNN's Piers Morgan. The issue, not surprisingly, was guns.
Morgan, who was recently the target of a petition to boot from him the country because of his gun-control stance, broadcast the show from a shooting range/gun store in Katy, Texas, where Nugent joined him to defend his "second amendment yay!" standpoint.
"Do you care about murders? Or do you only care about murders with guns?" railed Nugent. Replied the host, "I care about all death."
"I don't think you do. I think you care about guns. You're obsessed with guns," argued the camo-cowboy-hatted Ted. "99.99 percent of the gun owners of America are wonderful people that you are hanging around with here today. Perfectly safe. Perfectly harmless. Wonderful, loving, giving, generous, caring people. Would you leave us the hell alone! Go after the nut jobs, go after the murderers, because I don’t know any. We need to lock up the bad guys and when people show dangerous, murderous intent, which everyone one of these mass-murderers showed."
Morgan countered that "this is a debate that has to be had," prompting Nugent to fire back, "You're the perfect poster boy to stand up for the things that make no sense at all to common sense people."
When Piers wondered why a civilian would need an assault rifle, Nugent insisted, "It's a simple inanimate tool that tens of millions of American families own, that have never caused a problem, never had an accident and will never commit a crime. You have these aberrations that are such a minute percentage."
Concluded Ted, "An armed society is a polite society."

Now he's all patriotic. He had his chance to serve, and he did every thing in his power to avoid serving. I guess he doesn't like someone disagreeing with his view point . No freedom of speech for that guy Morgan. He had his chance to get weapons issued to him. But nope. Not him. He didn't like the idea of someone shooting back. The guy is a chickenhawk. And a loudmouthed phoney at that. As a Veteran, he disgusts me. All the Veterans in my family are disgusted with this phoney. There's only 6 of us left now. But we all agree. Nugent is a phoney.
