Bradley Cooper joins, rescues Natalie Portman's 'Jane Got A Gun'

Replaces Jude Law as the film's villain

Natalie Portman's upcoming western, "Jane Got A Gun," has been through some rough metaphorical waters recently. First Hitlist-fave Michael Fassbender dropped out of the film; the Fassbender, as we like to call him, was originally slated to play Portman's ex, who's enlisted by her to help save her outlaw husband from a rival gang of crooks. Joel Edgerton ("Zero Dark Thirty"), who was originally slated to play the evil gang leader, subsequently stepped up to play Fassbender's character, leaving the villainous role to Jude Law. Then director Lynne Ramsay ("We Need To Talk About Kevin") abruptly left the project on the eve of production, taking Law with her. Gavin O'Connor ("Warrior") has been hired to direct, and now that Bradley Cooper's on board to take over from Law, maybe the film can actually, you know, start filming.

What do you think, Hitlisters? Going from Portman, Fassbender, and Edgerton to Portman, Edgerton and Cooper isn't much of a come-down. Besides, if anyone can play an evil gang-leader, it's the devilishly handsome/talented Cooper, who was born to play villains. At least as far as we're concerned. Meanwhile, Edgerton has a nice history with O'Connor, giving us hope there. And as for Portman potentially sporting six-shooters and spurs? Well, we'll believe it—maybe—when we see it.

i don't know, i am not yet convinced that men today aren't the whinning pussies.  Out side of Clooney and Pitt, when's the last time you saw a Cary Grant, or Gary Cooper, or Kirk Douglas, or Clark Gable or even a John Wayne.  The pickens are mighty slim today i think.

It doesn't matter if the role suits her or not...I'm still going to watch it. Can't take my eyes off of that woman.

Seriously, people.

Whiny is an adjective meaning habitually complaining or of or like a whine. Whiney is the same as whiny, but it appears about a fourth as often (whiny is preferred in all main varieties of English).

Whinny is the sound horses make. It’s synonymous with neigh.

macsampam: all those men you mentioned are all dead (are they all dead?) because they lived in a different society and time. the things they could get away with you cant even think about doing today. they could argue and bitch slap a woman and not go to jail. and the movies were much different. it was still early in the film era so all of you who grew up in that era all glamorized them old farts. and nobody today compares to them. much like us 80's kids will look at the stars of the late 70' and 80's

Portman is a terrible actress, imo. She appears whiney in her strongest roles. This doesnt seem a well-suited part for her and perhaps the guys that are dropping like flies recognize this and are refusing to board a sinking ship.

Another stupid womens empowerment movie that will no doubt dmeonize men as evil or whinny pussies while making a woman out to be the uber toughcharacter. Imso sick of this trend in are beocming pussies in this country. Im all for a strong female lead...but this movie makes men out to be pussie, i mean seriously....this thing is pure fiction and drek. Bradley...c;mon man get that A-Team sequel rolling man....quit taking these roles that lead to the pusifiication of america.
