The new trailer for Zach Snyder's big-screen take on the Superman myth "Man of Steel" hit the Internet on Tuesday, and while it's reasonably certain that this will be a superhero movie, the trailer comes across more like an inspirational Hallmark film.
Bing: More about 'Man of Steel' | More about Henry Cavill
While there are brief moments of "Immortals" star Henry Cavill in action as the cape-clad hero, the 2 1/2-minute trailer leans more toward soulful expressions and swelling music that seem intent on making it clear that this will be a particularly meaningful entry in the superhero-movie canon.
"Man of Steel," which also stars Russell Crowe, Amy Adams and Kevin Costner, arrives in theaters June 14, 2013. In the meantime, click on the video for the trailer.
