Jennifer Lawrence and 'Hunger Games' nominated for Saturn Awards

Actress and movie face stiff competition in their categories

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films has recognized "The Hunger Games" and Jennifer Lawrence with nominations for Best Science Fiction Film and Best Actress, respectively at this year's 39th Annual Saturn Awards.

Fellow Best Science Fiction Film nominees are: "The Avengers," "Chronicle," Cloud Atlas," "Looper" and "Prometheus."

Lawrence's fellow nominees for Best Actress are: Jessica Chastain ("Zero Dark Thirty"), Ann Dowd ("Compliance"), Zoe Kazan ("Ruby Sparks"), Helen Mirren ("Hitchcock") and Naomi Watts ("The Impossible").

This year's awards will take place in June.
