New Colin Farrell, Neil Jordan picture casts a net for romance

Neil Jordan ("Mona Lisa," "The Crying Game") has directed a modern fairy tale entitled "Ondine" starring Colin Farrell as an Irish fisherman who catches a mysterious creature in one of his nets. That's the beautiful Alicja Bachleda, and I'm thinking she's a...mermaid. But this is a Neil Jordan picture and so, it may not be that obvious. And since it's Neil Jordan, I'm excited to see the movie. Colin Farrell has long been underrated as a pretty face, a bad boy actor with decent skills, but he's so much more. Watch his sublime performance in "In Bruges" and you'll see what I mean. So the idea of Farrell falling helplessly in love with a sea creature/woman/magical person and under Jordan's enchanted, though darker hand, is a wonderful one. Above is the debut poster.
