Adele's 'Skyfall' Theme Does that James Bond Thing

Whatever that 'James Bond thing' is

We've long been of the belief that the best James Bond films are the ones with the worst theme songs, and that a good theme song is not necessarily indicative of a good movie. Case in point: "Live and Let Die." Classic song, forgettable movie. In the same vein, "Goldeneye" and "Goldfinger" have patently ludicrous theme songs that nobody in their right mind should ever want to hear, ever, but those are arguably two of the best Bond films of all time.

Although there are a few exceptions to this rule. "You Know My Name" from "Casino Royale" wasn't awful, and that movie was pretty good, too...

Anyway. The powers that be, as in Sony, have enlisted British pop mega-star Adele to sing the theme song for James Bond's latest, "Skyfall." We're afraid we find the song as mercurial and confusing as the film's title, at least so far. Which we hope to interpret as a good sign as to the film's quality. Anyway, we only have to wait for November 9th to find out. In the meantime, check out the above clip, and let us know what you think in the comments...

OMG! That has to be the worst Bond song ever! It was so bad I don't want to see the movie.

But being a huge Bond fan you know I will. But Adele should stay far away from that turd and never sing it again. WOW! Excusse me while I get a red hot poker and burn my ear drums.
