Briefly: Deadline Hollywood reports that James Marsden is set to play Will Ferrell's nemesis, a "rival anchor," in the upcoming "Anchorman: The Legend Continues." Not much is known about the comedic sequel beyond that most of the original cast - inlcuding Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, and David Koechner - are set to return, along with newbies like Marsden and Kristen Wiig. But, let's be honest here, what more could we possibly need to do about the film? We've only been waiting for this one for almost ten years. It is due to start filming next month, so perhaps we'll be in for a long-form trailer by the summer.
Marsden just completed work on "Walk of Shame" and will next be seen in "2 Guns" and "The Butler."
"Anchorman: The Legend Continues," a.k.a. "Anchorman 2," will hit theaters on December 20th.
