Golden Globes nominations highlight 'Lincoln,' 'Argo,' and 'Django Unchained'

With surprising warmth for 'Salmon Fishing in the Yemen'

Before we can get to the big show (that's the Oscars, you guys), we have to continue to slog through all manner of nominations for some of the year's best (and, oftentimes, just okay) films from a murderer's row of different voting bodies. Joining the fray today are the nominations in 25 categories for movies and television for the 2013 Golden Globe Awards, as voted on by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

The most popular nominees included "Lincoln," "Argo," and "Django Unchained," along with "Les Miserables," "Silver Linings Playbook," and "Zero Dark Thirty" all pulling out a respectable total of four nominations each. Some surprises? The love for "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen," which got three nominations, and some nice noms for indie pictures like "Rust and Bone," "Amour," "Arbitrage," and "Bernie." The often-looked-over Joaquin Phoenix also managed a nomination for Best Performance for "The Master." Missing from the list? Matthew McConaughey ("Magic Mike"), Emmanuelle Riva ("Amour"), and Quvenzhane Wallis ("Beasts of the Southern Wild").

Check out the full list of motion pictures nominees, thanks to Deadline, after the break.
