UPDATED: Kimberly Peirce's 'Carrie' Remake Casts Key Co-Stars
Judy Greer and Gabrielle Wilde set for classic roles
With the two central roles of director Kimberly Peirce's remake of "Carrie" already set (that would be Chloe Grace Moretz to play Carrie White and Julianne Moore as her hardcore Christian fundamentalist mother, Margaret White), it's high time that Peirce's take on Stephen King's classic novel (and, to a lesser extent, Brian De Palma's own adaptation on the material) start rounding out some of the film's smaller roles. Though the success of "Carrie" will largely depend on both the work of Moretz and Moore, the story does have a number of supporting roles that are essential to much of the film's plot and tone.
PLEASE stop with all of the re-makes!!!! It may just be me, but there are a lot of those and sequels lately and it's getting ridiculous. Secondly, wasn't there already a re-make of Carrie that bombed? Or was that considered "Carrie 2"? IMO, nothing will top the 70's movie of Carrie, but I guess we'll see. Does anyone else agree? Today's horror flicks seem silly and just all about gore and nudity.
