No, you don't have to watch the Super Bowl to see the new 'Star Trek Into Darkness' commercial
Because it's already right here!

For whatever reason, it's become a commonplace practice for some of the Super Bowl's most anticipated commercials to release hours, sometimes whole days before the big game, all but eliminating many people's reasons for watching the event, and certainly undermining the entire point of game day ads in the first place. Too bad for them, but good for all of us who aren't so sports-inclined!
To that end, Paramount has now released their "big game ad" for J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek Into Darkness" on the web. While the brief commercial doesn't include much new material, it does promise us that "Our World Will Fall," while also showing off Benedict Cumberbatch looking as nefarious as ever. At this point, we don't even care just who ol' Cumberbritches is playing, we just want to hear more about his evil ways!
Check out the newest "Star Trek Into Darkness" commercial, thanks to Apple, after the break.
"Star Trek Into Darkness" opens on May 17, 2013.
