After years of rumors, chatter, and buzz, audiences are finally set to be treated to another entry into the "Anchorman" legend, and it cannot arrive fast enough. Alas, we won't be getting this new adventure with the Channel 4 News team for a full year, as Variety reports that the film is now set to hit theaters on December 20, 2013. We'll just have to imbibe some scotchy scotch scotch to pass the time, because 365 days is a bear of a wait for more of the comedic stylings of Will Ferrell and his lovable group of news losers (new-sers?).Bing: 'Anchorman' | Will Ferrell
We got a look at the film's first teaser poster way back in May, with its teaser trailer following swiftly thereafter. I'd say we're due for a full trailer any day now. Maybe then we'd find out if anyone has really lost a leg in the intervening nine years.
Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, and David Koechner will all return as members of the Channel 4 News team, along with the lovely Christina Applegate. Rumored new cast additions include Kristen Wiig and the return of Luke Wilson.
Are you excited for this new "Anchorman"?
