If you are new to the Twi world, "Midnight Sun" is an unfinished and unpublished work by Stephenie Meyer. It is "Twilight," except written in Edward Cullen's voice. Robert Pattinson has stated that Stephenie gave him a copy of this when "Twilight" began filming; it was to help him better understand Edward's thoughts and emotions.
Stephenie had intended to complete and publish this book, until her unfinished draft was illegally published on the internet. This unfortunate event upset her and at this writing, she has not resumed working on this book and has no plans to publish it.
Read more about what happened, as well as the background on "Midnight Sun," on Stephenie's own website. Those wishing to read "Midnight Sun" will find the link to it from her site.
Personally, I love "Midnight Sun," and like most Twifans I hope she someday completes and publishes this work. Edward's voice is very different from Bella's, and his POV answers some of the questions I had while reading "Twilight." His POV relays his inner turmoil and the complexity of his situation much more so than "Twilight." We also learn about his family's initial reaction and their feelings towards Edward's situation with Bella. It's an excellent read. Nice and emo, just like Edward.
Of course someone has already created a fan made trailer for this, and it's not even published! It's not bad, check it out:

Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift have been doing some serious smooching...I mean, acting, for their upcoming film "Valentine's Day," a romance by director Garry Marshall. The two Taylors play a high school prom king and queen. The movie also stars Anne Hathaway and Emma Roberts, and is scheduled to open February 12, 2010.

...but it's a really good one, I promise. You'll be lighting a cigarette after ;)
This very lucky girl met Rob at 1:30am after a long day of filming "Remember Me" in NYC. My favorite details about her encounter:
Hilarious. See the whole story at Twitarded. Oh, and check out the worn, frayed collar on Rob's shirt. Wardrobe assistant still desperately needed (me me me!).

Rob was at Comic-Con in San Diego last Thursday, along with the rest of the "New Moon" cast. I've already posted lots of Comic-Con photos and videos here.
This video shows some of the "New Moon" cast backstage, as they are being introduced. Rob is at the end. Note the screaming hitting its apex as Rob comes out. I love his smirky, shy look.
It's amazing how you can track someone's movement from one side of the country to the other. Rather stalkerish. Here, Rob leaves LAX for JFK. A blessed Thank You to whomever got him a new shirt and new shoes. The Yankees cap and the torn-knee jeans are the same ones he wears 90% of the time.

This one I put up so you can look at those buttons. Uh-huh. Not the jaw porn, the slightly-parted lips, the stubble, or the chest hair. Don't look at those.

Rob arrived at JFK on Monday, and surprisingly there were only a few fans waiting. [How did they know he was arriving? Do these people wait here all day every day?] Anyhoo, this fan broke the no-touch rule; although I suppose she did ask him first before she wrapped herself around him. He seems embarrassed, as usual.

For this week's PGR (Purely Gratuitous Rob), I give you this old video from November 2008. It's one of my favorite interviews of him because he's quiet and he seems tired, but he's sweet and genuine. And the camera angle brings about the best of that face.

"i smiled at him and he was laughing at something and he put his arm around my waist and i put mine around his and he smelled like a man i would want to do dirty nasty things to me (don't tell my boyfriend although he already knows) and beer, lots of beer (heinken bottles were all over the inside of his trailer--you'd think he'd have better-quality beer these days). then we took the photo and i was in shock, and i forgot to do the one thing my mom made me promise, so i got in line again, and when it was my turn I whispered to him "so my mom said she would never forgive me if I didn't ask you out for a drink" and rob--laughing in his melodic voice--says "what? with your mom?" and i said "no with me hahahaa" and he replied "hahaha i don't drink" and i blurt out "hahaha yeah right!" and then the guards whisked him away very swiftly."

Here is another shot from JFK. The book is "Nine Stories" by J.D. Salinger. No light reading for our man--he hits the serious stuff. Rob, come over for some Heineken and a deep discussion about authors who you need Cliffs Notes to understand. I'll even microwave a Hot Pocket for you.

[I just received this statement from Summit Entertainment; it is their response to today's earlier statement from Rachelle Lefevre.]
- Ms. Lefevre's representatives were advised as early as April that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE was expected to start shooting in early August.
- If Ms. Lefevre was, as she describes “passionate,” about being part of THE TWILIGHT SAGA, we feel that she and her representatives would have included us in her decision to work on another film that would conflict with the shooting schedule of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE.
- It was not until July 20th that Summit was first informed of Ms. Lefevre’s commitment to BARNEY’S VERSION, a commitment we have since been advised she accepted in early June. Summit had acted in good faith that she would be available to fulfill her obligations both in terms of rehearsals and shooting availability for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. We feel that her choice to withhold her scheduling conflict information from us can be viewed as a lack of cooperative spirit which affected the entire production.
- Furthermore Ms. Lefevre took a role in the other film that places her in Europe during the required rehearsal time, and at least ten days of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE’s principal photography. This period is essential for both rehearsal time with the cast, and for filming at key locations that are only available during the initial part of production.
- Contrary to Ms. Lefevre’s statement, it is simply untrue that the Studio dismissed her over a ten day overlap. It is not about a ten day overlap, but instead about the fact that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE is an ensemble production that has to accommodate the schedules of numerous actors while respecting the established creative vision of the filmmaker and most importantly the story.

In my previous post I told you how yesterday it was announced by Summit Entertainment that the role of Victoria in "Eclipse" was being re-cast, and it would be Bryce Dallas Howard playing that part instead of Rachelle Lefevre.
Rachelle gave a statement to Access Hollywood today regarding the recasting of her role as Victoria in "Eclipse":
LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Summit Entertainment announced the replacement of “Twilight Saga” star Rachelle Lefevre in the series’ third film, “Eclipse,” on Tuesday night – and fans weren’t the only ones surprised by the news — Rachelle was shocked as well!
“I was stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role of Victoria for ‘Eclipse,’” Rachelle said in a statement to Access Hollywood.
On Tuesday, Summit announced that Bryce Dallas Howard would be taking on the role in “Eclipse,” due in May 2010.
“I was fully committed to the ‘Twilight’ saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria,” Rachelle continued, explaining the turn of events that led to the casting change. “I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules. My commitment to ‘Barney’s Version’ is only ten days. Summit picked up my option for ‘Eclipse.’ Although the production schedule for ‘Eclipse’ is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those ten days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for ‘Eclipse,’ never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10 day overlap. I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part.”

I thought this was a joke but it really works. What will they think of next?!
Searching the web just got even more fabulous with TwilightGoogle.com. OME.
You don't seem to get full Google functionality, but who cares. Although...they did pick one of the lesser Edward pics out there. His face seems a bit twisted or something.
