Pattinson's 'The Rover' Gets the Greenlight
A futuristic western set in Australia

...tells the story of Eric, who has left everything, everyone and every semblance of human kindness behind him, as he’s forced to join an injured gang member, Rey, to hunt down Rey’s gang after they steal the last of Eric’s possessions.
After starring as a lead in a blockbuster series like "The Twilight Saga," many actors might have a hard time adapting to other roles. However, since "Twilight" made Pattinson a household name and heartthrob in 2008, the British actor has brought his box-office popularity to a series of roles in well-received films.
Interestingly, all of his post-"Twilight" choices, from "Remember Me" to "Water for Elephants," have so far been in the drama genre. His next film, "Cosmopolis," (opening August 17) sees Pattinson in an edgier role, as it tells the story of a Wall-Street one percenter losing control in a stock market free fall. Pattinson's fifth and final film as Edward Cullen, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," hits theaters November 16.
