She'll seduce you then show you the door.

We've been following the journey of Leah LaBelle—Pharrell and Jermaine Dupri's newest protege—for over a year now, ever since the Toronto-born, Seattle-bred R&B singer was thrown a "Welcome to New York" party and the attendees didn't just include her hometown friends but the likes of Mariah Carey and L.A. Reid, too. We wondered if she really packed the punch these musical heavyweights appeared to be banking on or if she'd just fizzle out after a few minutes of fame.

The new school bad boy can't stop, won't stop

French Montana has spent the last few years juggling cameos and releasing street singles in the hopes of finally dropping his full-length debut. The time has come, and May 21st marks the date when Excuse My French will greet the world. Last night in New York City, the Bronx rapper hosted a listening event where the Ciroc flowed, as did the music...through incredibly loud speakers.

The answer is, a bunch of half-naked partiers apparently

"When was the last time you got to be 100% real, ya'll?," we're asked (well, moreso demanded an answer from!) on the intro to John Legend's latest single, "Who Do We Think We Are?" The voice continues, "I don't want ya'll holding back nothing!" Ok, ok, we won't. Now, can we get to the song now? Because it's a good one.

Here's to hoping it's a sign of things to come

If you were completely underwhelmed by Mariah Carey's last comeback single, the ironic and tragically-titled "Triumphant" (and honestly, who wasn't?), then you (like I) should look to her latest tune "#Beautiful"—yes, folks, the hashtag comes included—to help fill that void.

It sounds exactly as the title might suggest.

Just as Lauryn Hill revealed she would be recording new music as part of her tax payoff record deal, we are given "Neurotic Society (Compulsory Mix)." The Rap track is a stream of consciousness utilizing Hill's recent cadence and ricochet delivery of lyrics she's done as of late.

And so do 2 Chainz & Kendrick Lamar

Who knew Robin Thicke was so generous?! If he was a magician, he'd have a bag of tricks, and if he was Santa, he'd have a bag of toys but because this is Robin Thicke we're talking about here, master of seduction, when he says he's gonna "give it to you," as he does on his new single, it's anyone guess what that means.

But what does it all mean Yeezy?

Kanye West is typically quite far from elusive. However, he tweeted today a date that could reflect a number of things.

Rest in peace to the '90s Rap veteran

Details are still surfacing, however Chris Kelly - known as the "Mac Daddy" from Atlanta Rap outfit Kris Kross - was found dead in his Atlanta home this evening (May 1st). He was only 34 years old.
