...and no, The World doesn't care.

There’s not that much to say about Tyga’s career thus far. His cousin is the guy from Gym Class Heroes and he tends to find his way onto a lot of other people’s albums, but despite having a respectable amount of name recognition, it wasn’t until relatively recently that he had a true hit. As one of the most well-known second-stringers in the game, he did manage to find his way to Young Money in hopes of using Lil Wayne’s star power to increase his own, but while Careless World will certainly please his old fans, it seems unlikely to earn him many new ones.

The unique songstress returns with her anticipated sophomore set.

Santigold was ahead of her time when she dropped her 2008 self-titled debut, Santogold (she later changes her name to Santigold). Now, as more and more urban acts experiment with electro sounds, the world -- well, the mainstream music world -- finally seems ready to embrace the genius that is Santigold. Its a good thing that she is finally ready to return with "Disparate Youth," the lead single from her forthcoming sophomore album, Master of My Make Believe. Check it out here.

Her tales of love and loss resonate, but don't resound

Emeli Sande loves a ballad and a good metaphor, but the lead singles from her debut album Our Version Of Events would lead you to believe otherwise. Both "Heaven" and "Daddy" are steeped in trip-hop - fast-paced drum-and-bass breakdowns matched solely by Sande's rich vocals that, while roaring, never manage to be overwrought or offensive to the ear. That's what may be the problem though; the album serves as a perfect canvas for Sande to show her songwriting ability - and she does to the nines - but it also fails to be the least bit provocative or unexpected.
