Witchcraft Premiere "It's Not Because of You"
Swedish band's first album in five years comes out September 25
Back in May I mentioned how Swedish band Witchcraft were at long last in the process of recording their fourth album Legend, and first since 2007’s The Alchemist. Well, it’s officially ready to go, set for a September 25 release on Nuclear Blast. I’ve been listening to the album with great interest over the past couple weeks, and it’s a good one, not quite as psychedelic-influenced as The Alchemist, a little more riff-oriented and forceful.
The album’s first single, the hooky “It’s Not Because of You”, comes out via iTunes on August 17, but this morning Witchcraft posted the song on their Facebook page and on Soundcloud. Ominous yet instantly catchy, with a great swinging groove, and of course highlighted by the distinct voice of Magnus Pelander, it’s a good indication of what the rest of Legend is like. It’ll be totally worth the wait.
