Kill Devil Hill Premieres New Song "Revenge"
Former Pantera and Black Sabbath members collaborate on new record

Sure, every new band featuring a former member of Pantera pales in comparison to that great American band, but as long as there are Pantera fans, there will always be people interested in what the three surviving members are doing, and besides, it's admirable that the guys refuse to rest on their laurels. The latest new band is Kill Devil Hill, featuring former Pantera/Down bassist Rex Brown. He's teamed up with a pair of relatively unknown musicians in singer Jason Bragg and guitarist Mark Zavon, who had brief stints with Pissing Razors and W.A.S.P. respectively, and most notably, former Black Sabbath and Dio drummer Vinny Appice. Their self-titled debut album is set to come out May 22 on SPV/Steamhammer, and the new song "Revenge" can now be streamed over at the Deciblog. While "Voodoo Doll", which premiered earlier at Noisecreep, was one of the band's poppier moments, "Revenge" plays the Zakk Wylde card without shame, Zavon even going so far as to rip off "Miracle Man". Either way, both tracks highlight what is a straightforward, mainstream metal/hard rock record, not very far removed from either Heaven and Hell, Down, and Black Label Society, with a little sleaze rock swagger thrown in.
