Marduk's eleventh album Wormwood was one of 2009's finest, a stunning return to form by the Swedish black metal band, and two and a half years later they're set to release the much-anticipated follow-up Serpent Sermon on Century Media. Following up the recent premiere of new song "M.A.M.M.O.N." comes a grisly new video for "Souls For Belial".Directed by Håkan Sjödin, the sepia-toned video is simple in concept but a perfect visual complement for Marduk, but better yet is the song itself, which is an absolute scorcher, dynamic yet extremely visceral, featuring the charismatic gurgle of frontman Mortuus. In other words, exactly how Marduk should sound. Gloriously ugly.
