Hatebreed's sixth album The Divinity of Purpose comes out next Tuesday, January 29 on Razor & Tie, and in an effort to curtail its inevitable leak prior to the release date (too late, it's already out there) the band has posted the entire record via Soundcloud at their official site for all to hear. This being Hatebreed, you know exactly what it's going to sound like: simple, spirited hardcore that periodically dips into thrash territory, loaded with shout-along choruses and Jamey Jasta's lyrics about self-empowerment. As usual, it's straightforward, blue-collar crossover that's bound to make mosh pits everywhere happy. It gets terribly repetitive - as every Hatebreed album does - but there's no denying Jasta's passion, and that alone is the reason to give this record a listen. If there's a keeper, it's the d-beat fun of "Indivisible".
Listen to Hatebreed's The Divinity of Purpose here. You have until midnight on Sunday, January 27.
