Royal Thunder premiere hazy video for "Blue"
Tour with Enslaved and Pallbearer starts this month

2012 was a breakthrough year for Atlanta’s Royal Thunder, as their album CVI won over fans and writers (including yours truly) with its bluesy take on doom metal. Nearly eight months after the album’s release, the band continues to tour – they’ll be criss-crossing North America in January and February alongside Enslaved and Pallbearer before hitting Europe in April – and they’ve now put out a new video for the nine and a half-minute song “Blue”.
Not much background info has been given about the clip – we have no idea who directed it – but it’s a suitably hazy visual complement to the brooding hallucinatory song. Watch it below, and if you haven’t heard CVI yet, stream it in its entirety over at Bandcamp.
