In the latest of what's becoming a very welcome trend of metal bands embracing the music video format like never before, talented Seattle trio Helms Alee pull out all the stops in their new clip for "8/16", from last year's album Weatherhead. With the help of director Andrew James Cox, the band pays homage to not only Beavis & Butthead, but the videos that dominated the rock and pop landscape between 1988 and 1992, serving up some clever, funny, and at times uncanny parodies of everything from Metallica's "One", to Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Under the Bridge", to Lita Ford's "Close My Eyes Forever". Take five minutes to watch it, and try to guess all the references while you're at it!1Comment
