The Postal Service reunion hits the road
The indie darlings are bringing their show to a city near you
The Postal Service's reunion keeps getting bigger and bigger.
First there was a rumor the band would be reuniting for Coachella. Then there was the official word that the band is indeed performing during both weekends of Coachella and that a deluxe two-disc reissue of the band's sole album, "Give Up," will be released later this year.
Today comes the news that the band is not limiting the reunion to a few one-off festival appearances. The group, consisting of Dntel's Jimmy Tamborello and Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard, will embark on a world tour which begins on April 9. For the tour the band will be fleshed out by Jenny Lewis (she of Rilo Kiley fame) and Laura Burhenn from the Mynabirds and Bright Eyes. Tickets for most dates are on sale now and can be purchased at the band's website.
