Rascal Flatts to host CBS special encouraging adoption and foster care
14th annual “A Home For The Holidays” special airs Dec. 19
Rascal Flatts will host and perform on the 14th annual “A Home For The Holidays” television special, which raises awareness about the need for foster care and adoption. The show will air Dec. 19 on CBS, and will also include performances from Melissa Etheridge, Matchbox Twenty and “American Idol” Phillip Phillips, as well as former “X Factor” contestant Rachel Crow, whose performance accompanies her personal story about foster care adoption. Wayne Brady, Kevin Frazier and Jillian Michaels are set to present.
In addition to the performances, the show will include a number of touching stories about adoption from foster care from American families who have experienced it. Currently, there are more than 400,000 children in foster care in the United States, and more than 100,000 of them are available for adoption.
The special is presented in association with the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption and the Children’s Action Network.
