Jake Owen becomes a dad on Thanksgiving Day
Owen and his wife welcomed baby girl Pearl
Jake Owen and his wife, Lacey, welcomed their first child, Olive Pearl Owen, Thanksgiving Day in Nashville. The baby weighed six pounds, three ounces and is 19 1/2 inches long. She will go by her middle name, Pearl, and is named for Owen’s godmother, who passed away in July, months after the newlyweds found out they were expecting.
Owen posted the attached picture on Facebook today, and included the message “Today is the greatest day of my life. Welcome Olive Pearl Owen. 6 lbs. 3 oz Turkey Baby!!! Happy Thanksgiving!”
In a prepared statement released by his record company today, Owen said, “Lacey and I are so excited to start our own family. We are looking forward to teaching Pearl everything we learned from our parents and also learning from her.”
