Miranda Lambert’s TV Drama Moves To NBC
Show Is Inspired By Lambert’s Upbringing With Private Detective Parents
NBC has purchased the “light drama” being executive produced by Miranda Lambert, according to Deadline Hollywood.
Inspired by Lambert’s upbringing as the child of two private detective parents in Lindale, Texas, the show focuses on two parents running a successful private detective agency while trying to raise two teenagers.
When the project was initially announced last year, it was affiliated with the ABC Family network. In moving to NBC, Lambert joins husband Blake Shelton, who is signed to the network via his role as a coach on “The Voice.” Deadline Hollywood reports that Shelton’s relationship with the network played a role in Lambert’s project landing there.
Lambert and her manager, Marion Kraft, are among the show’s executive producers. Lambert’s mother, Bev Lambert, is a consultant.
