Loretta Lynn To Mark 50th Opry Anniversary In September
Singer Will Be Honored By Miranda Lambert, Trace Adkins, Lee Ann Womack And More
Loretta Lynn will mark her 50th anniversary as a member of The Grand Ole Opry with a special show on the venerable Opry stage Sept. 25.
Among the fellow artists who will be on hand to help celebrate Lynn and her achievement are her sister Crystal Gayle, plus friends Miranda Lambert, Lee Ann Womack, and Trace Adkins, as well as Pistol Annies, who will be making their Opry debut.
Lynn joined the Opry cast on Sept. 25, 1962.
During her first ever appearance on the show, at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, Lynn sang her debut single, “I’m A Honky Tonk Girl” and says all she can remember about that first performance is tapping her foot.
