Tate Stevens moves from 'X Factor' to recording artist with debut album
Singer co-wrote three songs on the project, due in April
Since winning season two of FOX’s “The X Factor” just before Christmas, Tate Stevens has been speeding through the song selection and recording of his debut album. Now his record label, RCA Nashville, has set an April 23 release date for the project.
The self-titled album will include three songs co-written by Stevens. Other writers on the project include fellow artists Joe Diffie, David Lee Murphy and Bradley Gaskin.
“For someone that has dreamt of recording and releasing music for over a decade, to say I’m excited is an understatement,” says Stevens in a press release. “I feel like the songs we selected for the album are a real reflection of my personality. They range from fun-loving to serious and everything in between. I’m so proud of this album and can’t wait for the fans to hear it.”
The album’s first single, “Power Of A Love Song,” was released to country radio earlier this month.
