Miranda Lambert Cancels Three More Shows
Singer Says Doctor-Ordered Vocal Rest Is The Cause
Miranda Lambert continues to cancel shows. While no specific illness was cited, a press release issued Tuesday stated that Lambert’s physician “is keeping her on vocal rest for another week, forcing the postponement of this weekend’s shows” in Orange Beach, Ala.; Atlanta; and Pelham, Ala. The three shows have been rescheduled for early October.
Last week, Lambert cancelled two other shows in Varysburg, N.Y, and Scranton, Pa., citing an overextended voice as the cause. Lambert frequently pulls double vocal duties at her tour stops, performing one short set with her trio, Pistol Annies, and another full-length set as the solo headliner.
“I’m so sorry to disappoint the fans that have already bought tickets to see me,” Lambert said in a statement on her Web site. “I’m taking care of my voice and I can’t wait to get on the road again and bring you a hell of a show.”
Her next scheduled tour date is July 26 at a casino in Verona, N.Y.
