Lauren Alaina Embarks On 18-City Tour In Run-Up To Her 18th Birthday
Singer Is Donating Some Proceeds From A Tour T-Shirt To Charity
With her 18th birthday approaching on Nov. 8, and current single “Eighteen Inches” on the radio charts, Lauren Alaina is embarking on an 18-city tour on Sept. 21. She is teaming up with local charities and the Special Olympics to donate a portion of sales of her limited edition “18-City Inch-By-Inch Tour” t-shirt from her shows and from her Web site, laurenalainaofficial.com.
“Eighteen Inches,” co-written by Carrie Underwood, Kelley Lovelace and Ashley Gorley, is currently at No. 40 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
While the tour runs through Nov. 12, the “American Idol” season 10 runner up has given herself the day off on Nov. 8 to celebrate turning 18.
She previously landed her first major tour opening for fellow Georgia natives Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan for Aldean’s “My Kinda Party” arena tour, and has just finished opening for Sugarland’s “In Your Hands” tour.
