Exclusive: Watch Little Big Town Perform “Pontoon” On “CMT Unplugged”
Band Also Includes Its Version Of “Born This Way” On The Special
The latest episode of CMT.com’s popular “Unplugged” series stars Little Big Town in an acoustic set recorded at the CMT studios in Nashville. “CMT Unplugged: Little Big Town” debuts on CMT.com tomorrow (Sept. 11), the same day the band’s new album, “Tornado,” hits stores, but One Country has obtained an exclusive track from the show. Watch the band perform a stripped-down version of its recent No. 1 hit (and unofficial song of the summer), “Pontoon,” here. The song is introduced in this clip by the band’s Kimberly Schlapman.
For the special, band members Karen Fairchild, Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook performed a selection of their most-loved songs in front of a live audience, including “Boondocks,” as well as the tracks “Pavement Ends” and “Can’t Go Back” from the new album. They also included a special fan-favorite—their version of Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way.”
Little Big Town recently earned three CMA Awards nominations, including single and video of the year for “Pontoon.”
The full special will be available to view tomorrow at www.unplugged.CMT.com.
