Lorrie Morgan, Pam Tillis Team Up As Duo Grits & Glamour

Singers Are Working On Their Debut Album Together

Two 1990s country faves, Lorrie Morgan and Pam Tillis, have joined forces to form the new duo Grits & Glamour. They are currently working on their debut album.

Both women have impressive country credentials on their own. Morgan (pictured on the right) notched 14 top 10 singles between 1989 and 1997, including the No. 1 hits “Five Minutes,” “What Part Of No” and “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength.” Tillis landed 13 top 10 singles in the ’90s, including the No. 1 “Mi Vida Loca (My Crazy Life).”

Each of the members of the new duo is also the daughter of a famous country singer dad. Morgan’s father was George Morgan, best known for his 1949 No. 1 hit “Candy Kisses” and nine other top 10 hits. Tillis’ dad is Mel Tillis, who scored a whopping 36 top 10 singles, six of which went to No. 1.

OMG!!!  Who told those old country hags that it was time to dress like kiddie ballerinas and try to revive their aging careers?  Put 'em back in the box.  They're overdone!!!

This is terrific news. Both these ladies are fantastic talents. They can both actually sing...and without auto-tune. For the life of me, I'll never understand why we go through so many female singers so quickly in the country format. So few have the careers that span decades like so many male singers. Can't wait for this release.
