Jason Aldean Set To Ride The ‘Night Train’
New Album To Be Released Oct. 16
Jason Aldean is gearing up for a busy fall since he’ll be promoting a new album, “Night Train,” set to hit stores Oct. 16. The set—Aldean’s fifth—includes his current hit single, “Take A Little Ride,” plus a track Aldean recorded with touring partners and fellow country stars Eric Church and Luke Bryan. That collaboration is titled “The Only Way I Know.”
Like all of Aldean’s previous albums, the new set was produced by his longtime collaborator, Michael Knox, and recorded with Aldean’s road band, an unusual move in Nashville where most artists favor studio musicians for their recording sessions.
“There’s no formula to music,” Aldean says in a press release. “It’s meant to be experimented with. You’re supposed to try things. So I love getting in there with my guys and coming up with sounds that nobody else really uses.
“I feel really great about the songs we recorded for this album,” says Aldean. “There are some surprises on there that might raise a few eyebrows, and there’s also some more traditional stuff too. I don’t like being put in a box, and I think with every record, we’ve had a lot of variety. ‘Night Train’ is no different. I got to do a cool up-tempo song with Luke and Eric, who’ve both been out with me over the last two years. I love collaborations like that, and I think the fans dig it when artists get together. It keeps it interesting.”
