Jay And Allison DeMarcus Welcome Their Second Child
Dad’s There For The Birth, Then Plays With Rascal Flatts In Detroit That Night
Rascal Flatts bassist and vocalist Jay DeMarcus and his wife, “CMT Insider” correspondent Allison DeMarcus, welcomed their second child yesterday. Son Dylan Jay DeMarcus was born in Nashville at 4:02 p.m., weighing in at 7 pounds and 11 ounces at 20 ½ inches long.
Allison (pictured on the red carpet at last month’s “CMT Music Awards”) and the baby are doing fine and will be home soon.
Dylan joins sister Madeline Leigh, who was born December 17, 2010.
Jay DeMarcus performed in Detroit with the band last night, making the trip home to Nashville to be there for the birth, and then re-joining the tour in time for the show still wearing his scrubs from the hospital onstage.
