Jason Aldean, Kelly Clarkson Win Second ACM Award
Duet Partners Win For Single Record Of The Year
After winning the vocal event trophy on the pre-show red carpet for “Don’t You Wanna Stay,” Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson won a second time during the live ACM Awards show telecast. The second trophy came in the category of single record of the year.
In his acceptance speech, Aldean said Clarkson’s name was the first one he suggested when he and his producer decided the song could benefit from a female voice. From there, he said, “Kelly came in and took it to a new place.”
