Rascal Flatts Unveils Its Star On Hollywood Boulevard
Country Band Joins The Hollywood Walk Of Fame
As first tipped here last week, the members of Rascal Flatts received their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame from the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce on Sept. 17. Producer David Foster spoke at their induction, calling the band’s voices “completely unique” and “instantly identifiable” on the radio.
“Who would have thought 13 years ago when we were playing a little bar room in Nashville, Tenn., that we’d come from the bar room to the Walk of Fame,” said the band’s Jay DeMarcus at the induction. “You can’t even dream that big,” added Rascal Flatts singer Gary LeVox.
Rascal Flatts is the most awarded vocal group currently working in country music, with more than 40 trophies from the American Country Awards, American Music Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, Country Music Association Awards, People’s Choice Awards and others.
