Alan Jackson Readies Himself To Be An Empty Nester
Singer And Wife, Denise, Have One More Daughter To Get Through High School
With one daughter already through college, and another graduated from high school this year, Alan Jackson and his wife, Denise (pictured), are preparing to be empty nesters when their third and youngest daughter Dani, 15, finishes high school herself in a couple more years. While that prospect makes some parents melancholy, Jackson takes a different view.
“Denise and I . . . both feel like you raise them for that,” he recently told MSN Music. “I don’t like to be the kind of parent that’s trying to keep them under my wing. You’ve got to let them go and make their own way, and you’re just proud for them and anxious for them to do well.”
