Country Stars Make Independence Day Plans
Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney and Josh Turner Will All Play Special Shows
Brad Paisley (left) will take part in the USO’s fourth annual “Salute To The Military” show on July 4, which aims to honor and thank the men and women of our armed forces and their families. The event, set to take place at the White House, also feature the U.S. Marine Band. Paisley will play a 60-minute set. More than 1,200 members of military families are expected to attend the event, which will be streamed live on www.whitehouse.gov beginning at 8:00 p.m. (ET).
Also, as previously reported here, Kenny Chesney will perform on the “Macy’s Fourth of July Spectacular” on NBC, singing “Summertime” and “Come Over.” The show airs July 4 at 9 p.m. (ET) and will also feature Katy Perry and host Regis Philbin, as well as a 25-minute display of more than 40,000 fireworks.
Josh Turner, meanwhile, will ring in Independence Day on PBS’s “A Capitol Fourth” at 8 p.m. (ET) with performances of “Firecracker” and “The Star-Spangled Banner,” backed by the National Symphony Orchestra.
