The Mavericks to release new album Jan. 29
Set is the band’s first full-length project in seven years
Following the release of an EP earlier this year, The Mavericks will issue their first full-length in seven years when “In Time” hits retailers Jan. 29, 2013. It’s the first album from the Grammy Award-winning group on their new label home, The Valory Music Co. They previously recorded for MCA Nashville in the 1990s, and later signed with Sanctuary Records. This year marks the 20th anniversary of their first charted single, “Hey Good Lookin’.”
The 14-track album was produced by Mavericks lead singer Raul Malo, along with Niko Bolas (Neil Young, Warren Zevon). Malo also wrote or co-wrote all of the album’s songs including the bonus version of album track “Come Unto Me” in Spanish (“Ven Hacia Mi”). The band’s guitarist, Eddie Perez, has a co-writing credit on one track.
