Carrie Underwood topped Wednesday night’s CMT Music Awards, taking home two of the belt buckle-shaped trophies, including one she shared with pal and duet partner Brad Paisley (pictured together on the right). Underwood’s wins were for the evening’s top prize, video of the year, for her “Good Girl” clip, and collaborative video for “Remind Me,” with Paisley.

In his acceptance speech, Paisley got a laugh by thanking Underwood for being “the eye candy of the video” and said without her, the clip would have been “just a dork walking through the desert.”

Joining Paisley in winning one buckle apiece were Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum (pictured below), Scotty McCreery and Thompson Square.

Bryan scored his first ever win in the male video of the year category for “I Don’t Want This Night To End.” Lady Antebellum’s group video of the year trophy for “We Owned the Night” was their third consecutive win in the category. Lambert (pictured below) also scored her third consecutive buckle in the female video category, this time for “Over You.”

Aldean scored his first ever CMT award in the performance of the year category for “Tattoos On This Town,” a clip taken from his live performance on the 2011 “CMT Artists Of The Year” special. McCreery (right) won the breakthrough video award for “The Trouble With Girls.” Thompson Square, which had two nominations in the duo of the year category, won it for “I Got You,” taking home their first CMT award.

Said the duo’s Shawna Thompson, “It wasn’t long ago that [husband] Keifer and I were selling boots and buckles right down the street at a Western store, so it’s nice to be getting one.”

I didn't even bother to watch.  It ain't country no mo.  It's women screaming lyrics at me and men who like to sing loud and play their guitars even louder.  I used to buy at least one country cd a month.  This year I bought one ... Alan Jackson's new one that just came out Tuesday.  RIP Doc Watson.

Really? Good Girl video of the year? Not even close to being a country song. I am so sick of hearing her scream while she "sings". Makes me wish I hadnt voted for her on idol!
