Sean Hannity vs. Ryan Adams

Or, how one 'gutless little coward' infuriated a TV 'chicken man'/'terrorist'

By percy thrillington Aug 8, 2013 2:29AM
Oh, Twitter. So good for business.

It began innocently enough: Ryan Adams (@TheRyanAdams) called out Fox TV demagogue Sean Hannity (@SeanHannity) in a characteristically sardonic but earnest critical tweet:

"Your entire soul is controlled by fear and by hate. Evolve little chicken man. See reality.”
Did Hannity take the bait? Well, according to the always-fantastic Consequence of Sound, he invited Adams to come on his show and discuss the matter, to which Adams responded:

“Thanks @seanhannity for inviting me on your show. If I wanted to be yelled at I would go see a Youth of Today reunion show. :  )”
Whereupon Hannity channeled his inner schoolyard brawl-seeker and replied:
“Confident on Twitter, but too scared to come on and explain yourself?”
Leaving Adams a classic opening, which he of course couldn't resist:
“I don’t negotiate with terrorists”
Which is when Hannity went full Hannity, first on Twitter:
"Who is the little chicken man now? A terrorist? Typical liberal, zero substance all name calling. Say it to my face u coward.”
And later, on the air:
“He is the latest liberal entertainer to launch an outrageous Twitter tirade against yourstruly. Singer-songwriter — by the way, you probably don’t know him, he’s not that popular — Ryan Adams… We reached out to Mr. Adams, we invited him on the show for a comment. His little agent replied, because he was too chicken, in an email, ‘Ryan’s statement is is tweet and vice versa’… Why don’t you have the courage to come on the show and defend yourself? He called me a ‘terrorist’… If we wanted to torture terrorists, we can play his music, which isn’t that popular anyway… Come on the program, stop being a wimp, he’s hiding behind his rock star makeup like the gutless little coward that he is.”
You can enjoy the full Hannity harangue above. It's the best thing to come out of Ryan Adams in some time.

It would seem Hannity's skin is much thinner now that his show is not being renewed.

The problem is, neither one is acting in a two-way conversation. This is just two people talking at each other - there's no conversation.

Chickshit 1, I would say you are about the same caliber as Adams, course that just an ASSumption about you.

Hanitty has freedom of speech as we all do making comments and tweets. I see alot of finger pointing and bashing one another on comments, but nobody has put forth any solutions, even a simple one would be a start.

I think we all can agree we want a President who is in the best interest of the people of the United States Of America.

If a President doesnt come into office a millionaire or billionaire, they sure do leave office with millions in there pockets.

If you present facts and state facts, you never have to remember your lies.

When Obama said has the last 4 years been better for you, what you think people on food stamps, welfare or any gov't hand out  will say????????????

the dumber you are , the more likely you are to vote for Republicans and watch FOX "news".. All of the lowest ranking education states are red states. The GOP likes stupid people that they can easily brainwash.

Hannity you are the worst kind of sissy.   One that hides behind a microphone or television screen.  If someone came at you with fists you would fall to the floor crying like a baby. Try going to war and serving in the military sissy boy...then you will see who the coward's you pantywaist.  You and your little fat mongrel cigar sucking pal Rush ,.....both of you between you couldnt produce one testicle.

Instead of ignoring an obvious 'wind-up' by Ryan Adams, Sean Hannity continues to display the most crass buffoonish personality on TV. Is there no one behind the scenes at FOX who can convince Mr. Hannity that he would be better served by not rising to every piece of bait in the water? Even his erstwhile mentor, Bill O'Reilly, seems to have adjusted the level of belligerence (note, not the actual content or tone of his program) in his nightly delivery.

By contrast, Sean Hannity is like a rabid junkyard dog - and this behavior is not just reserved for his Democratic Party/Liberal enemies. Take some time to check out his confrontations on YouTube - the Christopher Hitchens one is my particular favorite. He comes across as a petulant schoolyard bully, incapable of conducting an impartial interview (not that he is alone in that particular failing), who time after time resorts to shouting down/talking over his guest.

In my opinion, he has never been comfortable dealing with topics that require a considerable degree of research and intellect for a basic level of understanding. For him there is a much easier road to take - one that involves dumbing down the complexity of the discussion to a point where he feels secure and, having his adversary sink to the same level.

People watch this kind of crap or give these people the acknowledgment that they exist and benefit from this. Their ego's are only exceeded by the ego's of politicians.

SH would probably tag team with another right wing nut and not let RA get a word in.   Saw him and Michelle Maklin gang up on a lady the other night about Obamaphones.  Turned my stomach after about 2 minutes.  They were definitely NOT interested in hearing facts, only spewing the Fox Misinformation Channel's terrorist traitor talking points.

Fox 'News', The More You Watch, The Less You Know (and I think they're proud of it)

If that's the best, MSN, I'd hate to see his worst. btw...have y'all grown up on sat radio yet?

Ryan Adams, not Bryan Adams.  So, If you don't know him, he's a nobody?  Shows the scope of some folks awareness.

Ryan Adams was the front man and songwriter for the band Whiskeytown,  He went solo and has played with Phil Lesh (Grateful Dead) Warren Haynes (Allman Bros, Gov't Mule) and a host of others.  He aslo fronts Ryan Adams and the Cardinals.  Well respected in the music biz as a performer, songwriter and producer.  Adams is also an author.

Hannity made his name as a gay basher.  I have seen him on Fox and he is all red meat propaganda and no substance.  He talks over those he disgrees with.  Hannity specializes in strawman arguments and false equivelencies.  Al Franken exposed Hannity's act in Franken's books.

Ever since President Obama was elected, Hannitty has been fixated on attacking him.  He had predicted a McCain victory.  Leading up to his re-election, the attacks became constant and a victory for Romney was predicted.  He was wrong again!  Hannitty's world revolves around President Obama, whom he is obsessed with attacking to the exclusion of almost anything else.  Hannitty has his radio show and his forum on Fox News but is never seen on any other news program because no one else cares who he is or what he says.  He exists in the conservative, right-wing bubble world of anti-Obama propaganda and Republican talking points, populated by mostly, middle aged conservative Christian white people, who fear change and oppose gay rights, a woman's right over her own body, the empowerment of people of color, immigrants, and affordable health care.

I lauged out loud at "by the way, you probably don’t know him, he’s not that popular" 'cause I had no idea who Ryan Adams was, so I listened to some of his "music"..... holy **** that was some lame stuff.  And I mean LAME.

What a clip! It takes a fool to tell half a story (Hannity) it takes a bigger fool to listen. The Hannity viewers are entertained, the program is after all entertainment and not anywhere close to journalism. I wonder how (enter historical journalist here) would have been percieved if they didn't let anybody that wasn't blowing smoke up their back side (fully agreeing and stroking the ego) finish a sentence?

They both sounded like little school girls. Grow up!

If you removed all of the racists, bigots, xenophobes and narrow minded fools from the Republican Party.. there would simply be no Republican Party.

So after a quick internet search I found out who Ryan Adams is, he was acharacter in a  video game called PAX.AM, the great video game PAX.AM we all played as kids. Remember? Remember?  Sorry, my minds not right. I grew up in an old home and I just loved to eat the candy that fell off the walls!

Beware, call 911 before you click the link!
