If You Can Make It There...
Kings of Leon: Rockstars for Filmstars

So... let's say you've heard of a band but never heard their music. Let's further say that this band gets a lot of press attention, and is championed within the music business, but no matter what you do, you still manage never once to have heard a single verse of one of their songs—at least not to your knowledge. It's not easy in this era of internet piracy and pop music in every retail environment, but this blog is here to tell you it can be done, especially if that band is called Kings of Leon. Though many have griped at these TN-bred not-indie rockers for their industry-friendliness, often going so far as to suggest they were fabricated by a record label, it's clear that KoL are actually a band. How do we know? Well, because celebrities like them! Duh. EOnline has the shattering scoop, right cheer:
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were famously photographed at one of their shows. Miley Cyrus and her (maybe) new guy just saw them.
That's not all. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr, Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes, Anna Faris, Amanda Bynes and Christopher "McLovin" Mintz-Plasse and more reportedly came out to see them at the Forum in Los Angeles.
Who are we talking about? Kings of Leon, of course. <p> The Nashville four-piece doesn't seem the type to seek Tinseltown's approval, but obviously the Grammy winners have struck a chord with the foxy and famous (as well as country hitmakers Sugarland, who cover them on their new live disc).
Sugarland never covered the Strokes... Who says the music industry is dead?
