Joe Bonamassa burns up the "Daylight"
A taste of blues rocker's latest album, three weeks early

Joe Bonamassa isn't fooling around this time around. Not that the blues guitarist has been a slouch in the past, but his new album, "Driving Towards the Daylight" pairs him up with the amazing Brad Whitford of Aerosmith on guitar. The results - due out May 22 - are nothing less than astounding. It's another stellar collaboration; Bonamassa has collaborated onstage with the likes of Eric Clapton and most recently was in the supergroup Black Country Communion with Glenn Hughes of Deep Purple and drummer Jason Bonham. After two albums with them he's back to his solo work, exploring Robert Johnson ("Stones in My Passway") and Bonamassa originals.
