You almost feel sorry for the criminal who breaks into the home of one of the biggest rap stars ever and not only gets his nose and jaw broken in a scuffle with the homeowner in question, but must also endure the irony of knowing that this rapper's biggest hit is all about how his mother instructed him to knock you out, and therefore promising to do just that. In other words: don't try to rob LL Cool J unless you're looking forward to being a blog punchline for the rest of your life.
LL Cool J foiled a home invasion this morning, TMZ reports, after a burglar broke in to the rapper's Los Angeles house around 2 a.m. PDT and tripped the alarm system. LL Cool J encountered the intruder when the rapper went to investigate the ruckus he heard downstairs. Although the police were on their way to make the arrest, the rapper didn't wait around: he reportedly broke the man's nose and jaw in a fight.
A rep for LL Cool J said the rapper is unharmed and "is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities."
