"I Will Wait" released to web

OK, visually it may be the most boring video ever since The Replacements filmed a set of stereo speakers playing "Bastards of Young." Mumford and Sons have released their new single, "I Will Wait," via YouTube. Its visuals consist entirely of the roadway as a car or truck or bike or something streaks down it. Fascinating.Fans may be shocked to hear that the band has embraced the EDM fad, with a heavy emphasis on intense beats and guest appearances by Rihanna, Skrillix, Justin Bieber and oddly enough, samples from an obscure 1966 Tiny Tim song.
Actually, we'd all be shocked, because "I Will Wait" is nothing like that. If you loved the album "Sigh No More" and hit singles like "Little Lion Man" and "The Cave," you'll find no surprises here -- just more of the same, sounding more Mumford than ever. The new album "Babel" is due Sept. 25.
