I read a lot of your posts in here and just shook my head and laughed at you people. You are pretending to be so dam innocent. Racism still exist, and the majority of you hate Obama because he is black. Don't pull that, I am not a racist crap on me. I have been around a lot of you for a long time. In school and in the workplace I have encountered racist remarks from you people. Guess what, I don't give a rats **** if you like me or not. I can go into a game room and I am called monkey, or the N word. Still hiding behind something, just like the coward KKK has done for years. You are hiding behind this computer. COWARDS, AND WILL ALWAYS BE COWARDS. Why not call me a N in my face instead of behind a computer? Let's start a new thing no more hiding, start telling people how you feel in person.  Make sure you call the paramedics ahead of time, we are not taken your **** anymore, my blood has already taken crap from your blood. IT"S OVER.

Hi to you also, mrck.....Since Mr. Newman supports President Obama, the song would not be very satirical if he wrote "I'm dreaming of a Black President."  It would be truth.  Here is an excerpt from a recent article from James McKinnley in the Politics and Government Blog of the Times...

The award-winning songwriter, who supports President Obama, has weighed in on the role of race in the presidential election, releasing on Tuesday poking fun at voters who long for the days when a white man was in the White House.

“I think there are a lot of people who find it jarring to have a black man in the White House and they want him out,” Mr. Newman said. “They just can’t believe that there’s not a more qualified white man. You won’t get anyone, and I do mean anyone, to admit it.”

I can guarentee you that the person who says this has never talked to a Black person about it. Black people voted for Barack Obama for the same reason they voted for Bill Clinton. They did it because he clearly ran in their best interests. Allen Keyes as a GOP member ran for president two times and garnered very few Black votes. I as a Black-American would not vote for Allen Keyes if you offered me millions.

What he is saying is that if you agree with this sarcasm, or if you are offended by its message, you are part of the problem. This is not 1940. People of color have the right and the duty to vote in their best interests no matter what color or sex the candidate is, just as White men have had the right to vote in their own self interests for decade upon decade upon decade.

The only difference is that White is becoming a minority.

We cannot be considered a progressive society with racism as the basis of our way of life. The racist is becoming a dinosaur - an angry, wealthy, powerful dinosaur. He must now understand that you can change a lot of things in this land but the Constitution will outlast you, and ultimately change this land into what it says it is. This land has changed from the begining and it will continue to change. You either change with it, or become the next guy PO'd because he couldn't stop it.

President Obama has destroyed the absurb idea of white supremacy and a great deal of people who think that being "white" makes them better than other people who are not "white," are becoming uncomfortable.  They say they want their country back.  That's so funny because quiet as it's kept, all "white" people are not really accepted by the "whites" who are really in control who don't really like poor whites, middle-class, upper-middle class, working class "whites."  This also includes "whites" of Eastern Europeans (Italians, Greeks, etc.). We (conscious people) know that whites don't really get along and that they are really in the minority all over the world.  Non-whites make up the majority of the world.  The bottom line--white is not necessarily a real description.  It's a trick and Obama has proven it.  Get over it because we are not fooled by your illusions and attempt to justify your insecurities.
