Fight For Your Right to Coldplay

Coldplay performed the Beastie Boys' anthem "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (to Party!)" at the Hollywood Bowl this weekend by way of tribute to the late Adam "MCA" Yauch, who died of cancer on Friday at the age of 47. On paper, the idea isn't very promising, but as a piece of music, the performance is surprisingly beautiful and tender—particularly if you (like some of us) continue to find yourself in a kind of numb shock over the loss.
