At last, a news story that raises the question: which one of these singers made a deal with which devil, and for what?? On the other hand, the pending union of Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger proves that love need not be blind as long as it's deaf.

Momentous news of a radio rock union, friends: 27-year-old Avril Lavigne and 37-year-old Chad Kroeger are engaged to be married. They're separated by one decade of age, but united by several shared decades of Canadian-ness. Lavigne formerly loved and married Sum 41 frontman/Canadian Deryck Whibley, and loved but did not wed The Hills star Brody Jenner, though she tattooed his name upon her ribs. We're just happy Kroeger has finally found the special lady to weather all that Nickelback bullyingwith.
