For Led Zeppelin II, the time has come to be gone. In other words, it's time to ramble on.
The Chicago Tribune reported that George Blackburn -- who legally changed his name to Led Zeppelin II last year -- has passed away.
According to the report, Blackburn first saw Led Zeppelin in Chicago in 1969 - the year his namesake album was recorded and released. He caught the band multiple times over the years and after a recent divorce decided to reinvent himself with the name change -- as well as decorating his living room with album covers from Zep, Pink Floyd and others. The experience improved his life "a thousand fold," he told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
For boldly living the rock 'n' roll dream, we've just got one think to say to Blackburn - "Thank You."
